 Last week, in an egregious decision, the Supreme Court ruled 5 - 4 that the government has no right to regulate the campaign contributions of corporations and unions. This means that corporations, from Wal-Mart to Exxon-Mobile, can now purchase their own campaign ads, campaign literature, robo-calls, etc. as long as the candidate does not create it. In short, the decision by the court has opened the floodgate, for corporate cash. If we were concerned that our elected Representatives were prone to big money before, the amount of corporate dollars is about to increase drastically. Sign this petition and tell Congress that people are more important than corporations and we need public financing of our campaigns.
